A performing ensemble made up of brass, woodwinds, and percussion instruments combined into one group.

Music skills are refined and honed to make members more technically proficient and better all around musicians. Music is studied from both the composer’s intent as well as students’ imaginative standpoints.

Ensembles include:

  • Symphonic Band
  • Jazz Band
  • Pep Band for athletic events

Members are eligible for the Tri M National Honor Music Society as 10th graders.

Performing Jazz Ensemble

The Performing Jazz Ensemble is made up of brass, woodwind and standard rhythm section instruments (drum set, electric bass, piano, accessory percussion). Students are taught how to interpret and play jazz music while learning the basics of Jazz improvisation. Study includes some music theory and jazz history as well as legendary jazz Performers, composers, and ensembles.
